Senior Embedded Engineer (IoT Solutions)

EL Shiekh Zayed, Egypt

Senior Embedded Engineer (IoT Solutions)

Location: Cairo, Egypt

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience Level: Senior / Lead

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer (Hardware Focus) to lead the development of production-grade IoT and edge devices.

You will work across the full product lifecycle — from hardware architecture and component selection to board bring-up and manufacturing readiness — building reliable connected systems used in industrial and mobility environments.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving real hardware challenges and shipping products that operate reliably in the field.

What You Will Work On

• Architect embedded hardware platforms for connected devices

• Design multi-layer PCBs and integrate processors, sensors, radios, and power systems

• Optimize power consumption for battery-powered and vehicle-powered systems

• Integrate wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi, BLE, Cellular, GNSS, LoRaWAN)

• Lead board bring-up and debug hardware/software interactions

• Develop BSPs and low-level drivers for RTOS environments

• Support prototype validation and transition to production (EVT / DVT / PVT)

Technical Background

You should be comfortable with:

PCB design tools (Altium Designer preferred or KiCad)

• Multi-layer PCB design and RF layout

• Embedded firmware in C/C++

• Communication interfaces: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, RS-485, USB

• MCU/SoC platforms such as STM32, NXP, Nordic, TI, Espressif, Qualcomm

• Power system design for low-power IoT devices

Familiarity with industrial standards (EMC, CAN, CE/FCC) is a strong advantage.

A Typical Day

A typical day may include:

• Reviewing a schematic or PCB layout for a new IoT device

• Debugging a hardware issue during board bring-up

• Working with firmware engineers on driver integration

• Evaluating new silicon or RF modules for future designs

• Running lab measurements to optimize power consumption

• Preparing hardware for prototype or production testing

Our Engineering Culture

We believe great hardware is built by small teams with real ownership.

Our engineers:

• Focus on building real products that ship

• Value practical solutions over theoretical complexity

• Collaborate across hardware, firmware, and cloud teams

• Use modern tools — including AI — to accelerate engineering work

We look for builders, problem-solvers, and engineers who enjoy turning ideas into working systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

6+ years of experience in embedded systems or IoT hardware

• Experience delivering hardware from prototype to production
